You’ve passed your test, but the journey doesn’t stop there. Our Pass Plus Course is designed to refine your driving skills and give you confidence in handling a variety of road situations.
The Pass Plus course is a practical training course designed to help newly qualified drivers in the UK improve their driving skills and get experience in a variety of driving scenarios. It was implemented by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) in partnership with driving instructors and insurance firms. There is no more test to take, and those who complete the Pass Plus course will receive a certificate. Some insurance companies provide discounts to drivers who have finished the course, as it is viewed as a commitment to further driver education and increased road safety. The Pass Plus course is taught by approved driving instructors (ADI) who have received additional training to teach the course, which comprises of six modules covering various areas of driving. These modules aim to provide additional training and experience in various driving conditions beyond what is covered in the standard driving test. Here are the six modules of the Pass Plus course:
- Module 1 – Introduction and Town Driving
- Module 2- All-Weather driving
- Module 3 – Out Of Town Driving and Rural Roads
- Module 4 – Night Driving
- Module 5 – Dual Carriageways
- Module 6 – Motorways
